Silversea is further enhancing its reputation as an ultra-luxury cruise company with an eye on providing wellness and comfort for travelers as they seek out new adventures around the globe.
The cruise line has revealed exciting details about its 11th ship, Silver Nova, and Silversea also said that its three expedition ships -- Silver Cloud, Silver Wind and Silver Explorer -- will homeport in Puerto Williams, Chile, for the 2022-23 Antarctica cruise season, giving passengers better flight times and an overall better embarkation and disembarkation experience for their voyages to Antarctica.
Silver Nova is scheduled to debut in 2023 and will carry up to 728 passengers in 13 suite categories -- the largest variety of suites among Silversea cruise ships. Also, every stateroom onboard features a private veranda.
Silver Nova's largest aft suites will offer stunning 270-degree views. The ship also will have Otium, the cruise line's Roman-inspired wellness program, and S.A.L.T., its immersive culinary program.
Built with an attractive asymmetrical design, the ship contains all-new outdoor spaces that give you a welcome openness to the destination. Silver Nova has an outward-facing pool deck, an al fresco dining area and a sky bar that offers panoramic views from the ship's aft.
"Silver Nova represents the next iteration of Silversea's unique take on luxury, with an entirely new design approach that will enhance our guests' cruise experience," said Roberto Martinoli, Silversea's president and CEO. "Silver Nova will offer our guests a brand-new way to connect and engage with each destination."

New outdoor venues allow cruisers to enjoy more views and a better connection to the destinations. These venues and deck spaces especially highlight Silver Nova's innovative design:

The Pool Deck (Decks 10 and 11)
Silver Nova's pool decks will be the primary outdoor areas to relax, refresh and socialize. With up to 280 sunbeds, the horseshoe-shaped pool area occupies a large space on the starboard side of the ship, affording unobstructed views from the swimming pool, the adjacent pool bar and the sunbathing areas. The main pool (1,400 square feet) is the largest in the fleet, reimagined with a new layout, wide entrance steps and more shallow waters for easy wading. Deck 10's pool bar offers a centralized hub for socializing, day and night. Silver Nova's uppermost Deck 11 forms an amphitheater-shaped structure with Deck 10. It's a more intimate space for relaxing, with expansive views over the destination and out to sea. At its center, overlooking the ship's port side, cruisers will love to relax in "The Cliff" infinity-style whirlpool.

The Marquee (Deck 10)
Silver Nova also introduces two new food and drinks venues, located on Deck 10. The Marquee is positioned toward the aft on the port side. This al fresco restaurant can hold up to 220, incorporating The Grill and Spaccanapoli -- two of Silversea's signature venues.
The Grill is Silversea's popular "hot rocks" culinary concept, and Spaccanapoli is the line's spectacular pizzeria, respectively. The Marquee allows travelers to dine in a relaxed atmosphere, as it serves casual fare by day and dinner under the stars by night.

The Dusk Bar (Deck 10)
The second of two new venue, The Dusk Bar, is an open-air sky bar that provides an elegant space for up to 70 people to enjoy drinks along with panoramic views from Silver Nova's stern.
Silver Nova features eight places to dine, including a selection of Silversea's signature restaurants on Decks 3 and 4. These eateries offer larger, enhanced designs. La Terrazza seats 340 and will feature a vibrant new color palette on Deck 4. Floor-to-ceiling windows will surround the restaurant's interior, offering panoramic views, so diners can savor the destination as well as their meals. The restaurant's outdoor terrace will be larger than ever.
Atlantide will seat 270 cruisers on Deck 3, and it also has a new interior design. French restaurant La Dame, on Deck 4, seats 70 diners. Taking inspiration from the world's best sushi restaurants, Kaiseki will maintain its minimalist, sophisticated aesthetic, welcoming up to 40 people on Deck 4.
In addition to a new design approach, Silver Nova offers pioneering sustainability credentials. It is set to become the world's first low-emissions cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology that utilizes fuel cells, emitting zero harmful emissions while in port -- an industry first.

A Convenient Way to Travel to the White Continent in Style
Silversea is now offering luxurious and adventurous cruises to Antarctica with a more comfortable and convenient connection. The line's three ice-class expedition ships -- Silver Cloud, Silver Wind and Silver Explorer -- will embark and disembark in Puerto Williams, Chile, for the upcoming Antarctica cruise season. This gives cruisers more convenient flight times and personalised service during the Silversea charter flights, as well as quicker transfers to the ships.
"I extend my gratitude to the Chilean authorities and local stakeholders who have enabled us to unlock the most comfortable and convenient route to Antarctica for international travellers," Martinoli said. "As the only cruise line currently offering Antarctica expeditions from Puerto Williams, we are immensely proud of this accomplishment, which is representative of our commitment to delivering truly unique experiences in this iconic destination."

Puerto Williams as a Gateway to Antarctica
As part of Silversea's all-inclusive Antarctica offering, cruisers see the following benefits for the 2022-23 season:
An overnight stay in a five-star hotel in Santiago, with a welcome reception dinner and breakfast
A comfortable transfer to Santiago's airport the following day, with a flight departing from a private airport terminal
An exclusive charter flight to Puerto Williams, fully escorted by a Silversea representative
An upgraded, personalized flight experience, including extra legroom, greater luggage allowance and regionally inspired gourmet lunch
A quicker transfer to the ship in Puerto Williams
Upon disembarkation from the ship, a direct transfer to the airport and charter flight to Santiago for your trip home
Departing from Puerto Williams will also enable Silver Cloud and Silver Wind to visit Cape Horn in southern Chile on select voyages.

A Premium Standard for a Memorable Expedition
Silversea's expedition ships offer a broad-ranging selection of Antarctica itineraries.
The line offers a series of 10-day explorations of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands, as well as shorter sailings aboard Silver Explorer from King George Island as part of Silversea's Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program -- which unlocks the fastest, most direct route to Antarctica. Longer voyages visit the Antarctic Peninsula, South Shetland Islands, Falkland Islands, Elephant Island and South Georgia. Additionally, the "Deep Antarctica" itinerary will spend 20 days tracing a path beyond the Antarctic Circle, attempting to reach a latitude of 69 degrees south.
Each all-suite, ship features butler service and expedition experts who lead immersive shore excursions. These experienced and talented professionals offer informative enrichment lectures, discussions and recaps onboard, in addition to Zodiac and kayak tours, hikes and nature walks.

Thanks for reading, and happy adventures!
