We're all about that active and fitness lifestyle here at In The Loop Travel.
It's a segment of cruise and travel that is becoming increasingly important to people. Wellness is crucial for a simple reason. If you are healthy, you will be able to live a longer life and travel better while doing so.
Leading luxury cruise line Silversea gets it.
With the company's new ship Silver Dawn, the tenth in its fleet, Silversea also introduces the Otium wellness program, as well as a reimagined spa. Grounded in the philosophy and traditions of the ancient Roman lifestyle, Otium encourages balanced indulgence, pampering and pleasure with a range of satisfying comforts and amenities.
"With Otium, our guests will enjoy the next iteration of Silversea's trademark level of comfort, as part of an innovation in wellness at sea," says Barbara Muckermann, Silversea's chief commercial officer. "Silver Dawn's reimagined spa offers guests unprecedented comfort -- enhanced with Roman-inspired art pieces, elegant furnishings and a curated Otium treatment menu.
"Starting in suites with dedicated balcony, bathing and sleeping experiences, before intensifying in the beautiful Otium Spa and extending through the ship with unforgettable moments of pleasure, the Otium wellness journey has been designed to pamper our guests like never before."

A Customized Wellness Journey
Otium extends beyond Silver Dawn's spa facilities. It incorporates details that highlight Silversea's immersive luxury cruise experience that travelers love so much. The holistic journey begins with indulgent bathing, balcony and sleeping experiences in some of the most spacious suites at sea. Silversea's butlers set up passengers with a choice of scents, and a delectable comfort food menu is filled with gourmet bites and refreshing libations.
You get a plush Otium bathrobe and slippers for use around your suite or in the Otium Spa. The wellness ritual is influenced by ancient Roman baths. The Silver Dawn experience offers a curated range of Mediterranean-inspired treatments -- in both the spa and the salon – and hydrothermal experiences. Cruisers will enjoy the modern relaxation room, which features comfortable chaises for lounging, and the expansive outdoor area, with panoramic views of the ocean.

The Reimagined Spa

Designed by HBA London, Silver Dawn's large spa space fills 8,500 square feet on Deck 6. It includes food, mood lighting and curated playlists, as well as an enhanced beauty salon, fitness center, barber shop and an outdoor relaxation area. A spacious relaxation room lies at its heart. This space is decorated with Roman-inspired art and an infinity water feature, creating a soothing atmosphere. The facility also has treatment rooms, a large sauna and a steam room.
Every detail of the spa's design has been curated to maximize comfort and relaxation during your cruise.

A Well-Rounded Program

In the Otium Spa, Silversea cruisers select treatments from a curated wellness menu. These treatments are inspired by Mediterranean wellness rituals and ancient Roman baths. You'll have a selection of Otium signature experiences that feature natural and sustainable products. Select preferred scents and body oils, as well as body scrubs to use during your thermal experiences. In addition to facials, medi-spa cosmetic treatments and acupuncture, the menu features an array of signature Otium experiences.

Thanks for reading, and happy travels!
