A lot of announcements and travel specials trickle into my email inbox, seeking to inform me of some news or promotion that might merit my attention.
SeaDream Yacht Club announced an amazing adventure package this past week that cruelly taunts me.
Check out this itinerary:
SeaDream Yacht Club and TCS World Travel are collaborating on a 20-day "Expedition By Sea, Sky and Land." The adventure, from May 5 to May 24, 2017, hits eight countries -- Spain, France, Italy, Monaco, Rwanda, Botswana, South Africa and Morocco.
During the journey, you sail the Mediterranean on a luxury yacht while dining on local, fresh-prepared gourmet cuisine and living in an ocean-view suite. The yacht is equipped with a retractable water sports marina so you can jump in and play in the sea.
Once your cruise through the Med is done, you hop on a private jet to explore Africa. On the ground, expert guides lead safaris and other tours. This adventure sure checks a lot of the items I look for, but there is a catch.
The cost of such pampered travel: $82,500 per person (of course, you have to bring a friend, so the double-occupancy prices is $165,000). Gulp!
Who are these people who can afford these types of trips? Sounds incredible.
Now, excuse me as I go start a GoFundMe.com fundraiser.
Cheers!
