Silversea, a leading luxury and expedition cruise line, has unveiled its Voyage Collection 2028-29, introducing an exciting new program of Mediterranean expedition cruises.

The line also has announced Silver Nova's inaugural season in Northern Europe and a 60-day Grand Mediterranean voyage aboard Silver Dawn, among other new additions. The company’s cruise collection includes 278 voyages departing between March 2028 and March 2029, visiting 497 destinations in 71 countries, with more than 120 new or reintroduced ports for the line.

"Our new 2028-2029 Voyage Collection reflects what Silversea does best – taking guests beyond the expected, to destinations and cultural moments that reveal the world in ways they didn't expect," said Silversea president Bert Hernandez.

Called “Let the World Surprise You,” the collection is built on the belie that the element of surprise is the most special type of luxury. Itineraries are timed to seasonal wonders, curated access to cultural events and destinations few ships can reach.

Many of the itineraries have been scheduled to coincide with annual events and cultural festivals — including the Monaco Grand Prix, Japan's matsuri cultural festivals, grape harvest season across Europe's Atlantic coast and others — with sailings featuring longer port stays, late departures and more than 50 overnight stays.

1. An Array of Exciting Med Expeditions

Silversea is introducing its most extensive program of Mediterranean expedition voyages, with journeys aboard Silver Wind. Highlights for 2028-29 include the volcanic coastline of Milos — its white cliffs, sea caves and turquoise waters best seen by Zodiac and kayak — alongside Amorgos and Folegandros in the Greek Isles; Algiers and Bejaia in Algeria; Pantelleria off the coast of Sicily; and a rare inland waterway experience cruising the Guadalquivir River to Sevilla. Shore activities include Zodiac excursions, guided hikes and cultural encounters.

Silversea's 2028-2029 expedition program also will cover the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica, the British Isles, Polynesia, the Galápagos and other remote regions, with each itinerary led by the brand’s leading expedition guides. Silver Endeavour also will offer a Baltic expedition program, cruising in Finland and Sweden.

2. Travel to Antarctica with the Fly Cruise Program

Silversea's innovative Antarctica fly cruise operations are further reimagined for 2028-2029, with the journey beginning in Patagonia with a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South — Silversea's hotel in Puerto Williams, Chile, and the southernmost hotel on Earth — followed by a seamless private charter flight directly into Antarctica. A reimagined arrival that deepens anticipation and immersion from the very beginning, the program allows travelers to skip the Drake Passage and arrive directly in King George Island.

Silversea will offer 41 Antarctica voyages across three of the line’s expedition ships — Silver Cloud, Silver Endeavour, and Silver Wind — including dedicated Christmas and New Year's Eve departures.

3. Special Access to the Unique Events Around the World

The brand’s 2028 Classic Voyages are scheduled to coincide with significant cultural and seasonal moments. Silversea's ships sail into small ports including Sète, Monopoli and Saint-Tropez — all city centers and boutique harbors that place you at the heart of the action — with extended stays and overnights giving travelers more time ashore. The Mediterranean alone features a five-ship deployment — Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow — taking in the region's most iconic and boutique ports.

Special events include:

The Monaco Grand Prix: In 2028 and 2029, Silversea will offer access to of the world's most prestigious motorsport events. Cruisers can experience race week from the vantage point of Monaco’s iconic harbor while aboard Silver Ray.

Matsuri in Japan: Silver Whisper will visit Japanese ports during the country's celebrated 2028 festival season. Itineraries are timed to four of Japan's most iconic celebrations: the Kyoto Gion Matsuri, spanning the entire month of July; the Nebuta Festival in Aomori, renowned for its massive, illuminated paper floats and traditional music; and the Kochi Yosakoi Festival, alongside the Awa Odori in Tokushima, Japan's largest traditional street dance festivals.

Scandinavia’s Midsummer Festivals: Sailings through Northern Europe are timed to coincide with Scandinavia's midsummer celebrations — among the region's most deeply rooted cultural traditions, marked by outdoor gatherings, lively music and the phenomenon of the midnight sun.

Harvest Season in Europe: Silver Nova will sail along the coasts of Spain, Portugal and Northern France during grape harvest season, with S.A.L.T.-led shore experiences connecting travelers to the region's winemakers, producers and culinary traditions. Silversea's S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program is an immersive destination-focused culinary initiative designed to connect cruisers to the cultures of the places they visit through food and drink.

4. Norwegian Fjords, Eastern Mediterranean, Greek Isles and More

Silver Nova and Silver Ray will lead the brand's Mediterranean and Northern Europe deployments in 2028-29, with the season marking Silver Nova's first season in Northern Europe. The voyages will venture into Norway's Heritage Fjords — including the highly rated ports of Geiranger and Flåm — alongside Silver Spirit, as well as Baltic itineraries featuring Sweden and Finland.

Silver Ray will operate the dedicated Monaco Grand Prix sailing, giving you a front-row view of race week, as well as Eastern Mediterranean itineraries including in the Adriatic and Greek Isles.

5. A Grand Mediterranean Voyage

Silver Dawn will host the Grand Mediterranean Voyage 2028, an autumn sailing spanning more than 40 destinations across Greece, Croatia, Italy, the Adriatic and the Iberian Peninsula. Ports of call include Istanbul, Dubrovnik and Amalfi, along with hidden gems such as Menton in France, Naxos in the Greek Isles, and Roses on the Catalan coast.

Cruisers also will have access to exclusive curated events, including a private evening on Yiasemi Street in Athens, arranged exclusively for Silversea travelers, and a papal experience in Rome during an overnight stop in October 2028.
