Music lovers, beer aficionados, TV show fanatics, runners even poker players and nudists.
Cruise vacation adventures are increasingly being crafted to suit very specific interests.
Theme cruises are growing in popularity, and 2015 is another year offering a wide variety of options.
Here are some highlights from the planned sailings.
Bare Necessities' "Big Nude Boat" cruise is set for February 2015 onboard Celebrity Constellation . . . "with more nude people than there are stars in the sky!" The eight-day sailing includes stops at Coco Cay, Bahamas, St. Barts, Guadeloupe and St. Maarten. For a nudist cruise, I guess you pack a lot of sunscreen and little else.
Every year, you find almost too many music-themed cruises to count on the cruise calendar. Big names due to hit the high seas next year include:
Fans of the 1960s TV show Dark Shadows? The soap opera aficionados might want to join the seven-day sailing in January to the Caribbean on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas to hang with actors from the series.
Runners? Lace them up with fellow fitness enthusiasts on the Caribbean Running Cruise, an eight-day sailing in February on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas during which runners take to four courses at Caribbean port stops -- in Labadee, Haiti, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and San Juan. Running experts join for talks and seminars.
How about running, plus an added challenge? Unleash your warrior spirit on the three-day Spartan Race Cruise in March on Norwegian Sky. Competitors are shipped to a private island in the Bahamas for a day of obstacle course racing followed by a post-race party.
I love beer, so Un-Cruise Adventures' craft beer-themed sailing in April from Seattle to breweries along the Washington coast for tastings on its 60-person Wilderness Adventurer appeals to me.
It goes on and on.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced that Norwegian Gem has undergone updates as part of the line's Norwegian NEXT program. Gem now features the popular restaurant O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar and Grill, first introduced on Norwegian Epic. O'Sheehan's is a 24-hour complimentary casual dining spot, with the friendly atmosphere of a neighborhood Irish pub. It serves comfort food like fish and chips, burgers, chicken wings and chicken pot pie. All go great with a nice cold beer while watching sports on the TVs.
Gem's Moderno Churrascaria -- Norwegian's specialty Brazilian-style steakhouse -- was relocated to Deck 13, and Sugarcane Mojito Bar, first introduced on Norwegian Getaway, was added to the ship. The bar features handcrafted mojitos in a tropical setting.
Norwegian Gem sails year-round to the Caribbean out of its New York homeport. I will be on Gem to review the ship and check out the updates and tell you all about the destinations during a nine-day sailing next month to Tortola, St. Thomas, San Juan and St. Maarten.
